Black & White Sympathy card

Making sympathy cards is never easy and I struggle with what is appropriate.  I think the simplistic nature of this card eases that struggle for me.

I used My Favorite Things Bundles of Blossoms background stamp, Mama Elephant Labeled Messages, masking paper and Versafine Onxy black ink.

Firstly I stamped the sentiment and then masked it.  I then die cut a curve from some masking paper and added it making sure to partly cover the sentiment. It was then simply a case of stamping the background on to the card base.

I am adding this card to Less Is More - #323 - Curve

Striped Smile Card

This card was made using Simon Says Stamp Wide Stripes Background stamp, Mama Elephant Smile die, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequin Mix and Bazzill cardstock.

The striped layer was left over from yesterday's card which was die cut with a stitched die.  The word die was cut 3 times to add dimension.  This was then adhered along with a scattering of sequins.

I am adding this to the Less Is More - Week 285
The theme is repetition.

Bright Birthday Balloons

A bright, bold birthday card to cheer up the dull
winter days.

I began by die cutting all the elements needed for this card.
I then adhered them, some flat and some with foam tape for
dimension.  I stamped the sentiment on another die cut and
added it with foam tape.  The final step was to add 3 gems to
balance the card.

I kept the inside simple with another sentiment and a balloon
die cut.

29 Again

Cards for males are so tricky but this was what I
 came up with.

The candle stamp is Mama Elephant and the sentiment Paper
Smooches.  I coloured the candles with Wink of Stella pens.
I cut this piece with a Lawn Fawn die and embellished with
a few glitter stars.

The background paper was cut with an MFT Blueprints die and
layered onto the blue Bazzill card base.

A Gift Card

I used a circle die to create the focal point of this
card.  I then added a frame and adhered the flower
die cut.  I stamped a sentiment and then adhered everything
to a pink layer and then to my card base.  On the inside
I added another pink layer from which I had die cut
a gift card slot.

Baby Cards

I began making this card by creating the background.  Lots of
onesies on a stitched edge layer.  I then used a larger
onesie to add colour and heat embossed a sentiment.
Finally I added a hand cut bow tie.

I also made a pink version in exactly the same way but added a
silver bow instead of the bow tie.

A Final Christmas Card

I made this final christmas card to make use of the glitter die cut
I hadn't used in my previous card.

The ink splats are a stamp by Neat & Tangled and the
die cut layers are Sew Fancy by Mama Elephant.

Happy Birthday Burger

I began today by creating a mask for the candle stamp from
a Mama Elephant stamp set.  I then created the burger cake
using a Paper Smooches stamp.  I coloured the image with Copics
and then cut it out.  I added foam adhesive and attached it to
a circle die cut.

I added a strip of paper to the card base and then adhered the
stamped image.  I stamped a sentiment, cut a ribbon end and then
 tucked that under the image.

Birthday Bear

I created the layers of this card with MFT Blueprints 15, Pierced
Circles and Taylored Expressions Bloomin' Stacklets 2.  I then
stamped my Mama Elephant images and coloured them with
pencils and Gamsol.

I put the card together using foam adhesive for the elements to add
dimension.  I wrapped a piece of vellum onto which I had stamped
and embossed a Paper Smooches sentiment and added a few die
cut stars in white.  I finished by adding Wink of Stella to the stars
and balloon.

Gift Card

I began today by cutting Memory Box Tulip Bouquet die twice, once
in red and once in green.  I used the tulip cuts to allow me to
figure out the placement for my Mama Elephant sentiment.  The
tulips were then adhered along with a few sequins.

The inside of the card, which I forgot to photograph, was layered with
a Mama Elephant Femme Frame from which I cut a MFT Gift Card Groove.
I also stamped a sentiment above the inserted gift card.

Birthday Cupcake

The sun was shining when I started making this card so I was
inspired to pick sunshine yellow cardstock.  It started raining
about 10 minutes later!

Anyway, I began with the cupcake. Using Mama Elephant stamps
and dies I stamped and cut the cupcake base and cut the top
from a sheet of Lawn Fawn paper.  I added the base flat onto a circle cut
using MFT Pierced Circles and the layered that onto a Bloomin' Stacklets 2
die cut from Taylored Expressions.

For the white layer I used Taylored Expressions Curly border die to add
interest.  I then stamped my sentiment, adhered everything and finished
with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Lemon Drop.

Rainbow Wishes

I began today by cutting all the layers and elements, the white layer is
the largest of the Mama Elephants Sew Fancy dies, the rainbow is Paper
Smooches and the Sending die is by Simon Says Stamp.

I stamped my Paper Smooches sentiment and then simply adhered the
diecuts before finishing by giving the rainbow some sparkle with a
Wink of Stella brush pen.

Party Time

I picked blues and silver along with white for my colour
palette today.  I began by creating a background using a
MFT background stamp called Happy Birthday Background.
I layered that on a piece of the darkest blue card.
Next I cut a variety of balloons using Lawn Fawn Party Balloons dies.
I adhered them to the stamped layer at varying heights to create
dimension.  I added a sentiment by Paper Smooches before
cutting and adhering stars from Mama Elephant Lots of  Stars die.
I finished by adding twine strings to the balloons.

This is the first card I have photographed with my new camera, I
have a steep learning curve ahead of me!

I also made a pink version in the same way.

Happy Birthday

I love the colour pink!  This time I used Tim Holtz distress
inks in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry.
I started with Mama Elephants Sentimental Borders stamping and
embossing in white.  I then applied the inks to create an ombre
effect.  I wrapped a piece of white silky crush ribbon and
tied a bow then scattered a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins.  I kept
the sentiment simple just stamping on white card and attaching.
After much deliberation I finished the bow with a tissue paper flower.

Congratulations

I made the layers of this card with Mama Elephants Femme Frames and
then added a Wplus9 diecut called Spring Wreath.  I added
some paper flowersand a silver twine bow before stamping
 a Paper Smooches sentiment.

A quick simple easy make as I had very little time.

Giggle More

The main layers of my card were created with Mama Elephants
Sew Fancy dies.  I used Avery Elle paper and a Paper Smooches
sentiment.  The colour the Paper Smooches butterflies I watercoloured
cardstock with Tim Holtz distress inks and then added sparkle with
 Wink of Stella.

Oh Em Gee

The sun was shining this morning when I woke and I knew it
had to be a bright, cheery card today.

Using Paper Smooches star dies I randomly placed them and die cut
several times.  I added a sheet of Doodlebug paper behind and then
layered onto bright pink cardstock.  I stamped my sentiment and wrapped
some silver thread, unfortunately it hasn't photographed
very well.

On the inside I used the smaller of the Femme Frames and then added
a strip of leftover paper and a further sentiment on white cardstock.

With Sympathy

For obvious reasons I find sympathy cards difficult to make,
I chose black and cream cardstock.  The cream layers were
cut with Mama Elephants Femme Frames.  I used a Simon
Says Stamp die to create the focal point and a Paper Smooches
stamp for the sentiment.

On the inside I added another die cut cream layer and used a
Taylored Expressions die for the flower.  I left plenty of space to
 write my message of condolence.
