OMG Watercolour Card

This card was created using My Favorite Things Inside/Outside Stitched Circle Stax and High Rise Lowercase Alphabet, Strathmore Hot Pressed Watercolor card, Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed and Black Soot, Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler stamps and Bazzill cardstock.

The first step was to watercolour the circles with multiple layers of the inks mentioned above.  Each letter was then die cut 3 times to create some dimension.  Two strips of black cardstock were also cut.  When the circles were dry Black Soot distress ink was flicked across each one.  The elements were then adhered flat to a top folding card base and lastly, the sentiment was stamped into the notch cut from the centre circle.

The inks were layered onto watercolour cardstock and then lightly spritzed with water.  Copic pigment was then flicked over the entire panel.  The largest die from MFT Blueprints 13 was used to cut the panel to size.  Vellum was die cut with the word die and then heat embossed in white as was the sentiment.  Both were added to the galaxy layer with foam tape behind the word die cut for dimension.

Geometric Background with MFT Adorable Elephants

I am finally back to blogging after a spell of ill health.

This card was made using My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants stamps and dies, Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn, Taylored Expressions Triangles Cutting Plate, Masking paper, Glossy Accents and Bazzill cardstock.

The cutting plate was used to die cut a stencil from masking paper.  It was applied to a piece of white cardstock and then lightly inked using the inks mentioned above.  The elephant, balloon and butterfly were coloured with Copics and the sentiment heat embossed with hero Arts white embossing powder.  The background layer was adhered flat to a top folding card base and the elements and sentiment arranged with foam tape for dimension.  Glossy Accents was added to the balloon.
